Developer Massive Entertainment is delaying “Tom Clancy’s The Division 2’s” Title Update 3 — which includes the online shooter’s first 8-player raid — from Ap. 25 to sometime in May, it announced in a blog post on Wednesday. The development team is using the extra time to fine-tune game balance and “ensure the best possible player experience for everyone,” it said.

“Operation Dark Hours will be your biggest challenge to date, and we want to make sure that we’ve properly tested the large amount of balance changes that are coming to both PvE and PvP and listen to your feedback about the changes before introducing the raid,” it said.Exactly when Title Update 3 arrives will be based on results from further testing and balancing, Massive said.

“In order to fine-tune the balance of our game and to ensure the best possible player experience for everyone, we have decided to move the release of Title Update 3,” said Massive. The developer also announced that as of April 17, all players who use The Division 2 on PC will be able to jump into the games' Public Test Server (PTS). This will be a testing ground for Massive to deploy future updates to the game in the hopes of obtaining player feedback on new content launched in the future – as well as offer the opportunity for some stability testing. They want players to clash more in the Dark Zone, so matchmaking now happens in just two brackets – level 1-30 players in one, endgame players working up the World Tiers in the other. Occupied Dark Zones will now have less EXP penalties for death, and fewer NPCs to further encourage clashes. In Conflict (the structured 4v4 PvP mode) they’re also syncing team respawns to increase the chances of squads sticking together. Lastly, you can now get items up to Gear Score 515 in the Dark Zones, encouraging players to look there as a source of PvE progression too.

Title Update 3 and the raid will not be coming to the Test Server in hopes of allowing the community to experience the raid all at the same time. It’s unclear if this will be the plan going forward for future raids, but Massive says it will update players with more information about the PTS in the near future.Massive will release The Division 2’s Title Update 3 content sometime in May. It’s unclear if the Operation Dark Hours raid will arrive at the same time or shortly after the update goes live.
